Be the Reason: Ann Kelly
Scholarships help students from all backgrounds access Saint Louis University's Catholic Jesuit education. Hear from SLU School of Professional Studies student Ann Kelly on why donor support has been helpful on her journey.Ann says: "It's been such an honor, and I'm so grateful for all of the donors
that help with scholarships. When you're trying to, you know, as an adult, maybe still working full time and going to school - I'm married, and I have a daughter - so, you know, finances is a real-life part of the puzzle, and it really takes a lot of the stress off of it.I chose SLU because I love my Catholic faith, and they are local. I grew up here in St. Louis. They're a great educational institution, and I wanted something that was challenging and well-known for its academics,I know that the Jesuits are so well-known for their education and their spirituality, having a strong faith, and strong academics and strong in service. So, I am really passionate about my faith and going to a Jesuit institution
really just helps me to continue to, go on that path and grow spiritually.I think it's motivating to receive the scholarship and it really makes you want to do well not only for yourself but also for those who are supporting you.I just think we have such a great community where that support is just so important and I'm grateful for it."About SLU: Founded in 1818, Saint Louis University is one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious Catholic institutions.
