St. Louisans seeking affordable mental health care can take the first step by getting a free assessment at Saint Louis University’s Psychological Services Center. Psychological assessments help determine cognitive, educational, emotional and behavioral difficulties for both children and adults and can result in diagnoses and recommended treatment plans tailored to each individual. Assessments can help diagnose issues like depression, anxiety, learning disorders, autism and ADHD, among others.

Saint Louis University and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency will co-host the 2026 Geo-Resolution conference, "Securing the Future with Geospatial," at SLU's Busch Student Center Sept. 10.

Leah Sweetman, Ph.D., director of community-engaged learning with Saint Louis University's Center for Social Action, has been inducted into the Academy of Community Engagement Scholarship (ACES). Members of ACES were selected for their significant contributions to advancing collaboration between higher education institutions and communities.

Ray Vollmer, former anatomy education specialist for the Adventures in Medicine and Science (AIMS) Program at Practical Anatomy and Surgical Education, died Tuesday, July 14, 2026. He was 69 years old.
