Transcript:Jennie Barnds: There was just something about SLU that just felt different.Alicia Turner Roberson: We came over for a visit in his junior year, and I saw like a sparkle in his eyes.Scott Miller: We said “We’re just going to make you take a campus tour just to check it out.” And almost instantly after that tour, he said “This is where I'm going to be.”Jennie Barnds: There really is a lot of care and attention for the students. That's just been so impressive and it feels so incredibly genuine.Scott Miller: SLU supported us right out of the gate. This was our first student going into college, so we were new to the process.Kent Barnds: You get a sense from the first time you step foot on campus that this is a mission-driven place.Alicia Turner Roberson: SLU really is a community partner, and it really is a community experience. You will have a community and a family experience.Heather Miller: I don't feel like we're a number here. I don't feel like we're, Oh, you're just another student or another family. We are a family here.
