Welcome to Saint Louis University! We are excited to have you join our community. To make your transition smooth, follow the onboarding checklist in the app. You will find everything you need, from receiving your offer letter to completing key tasks before your first day. You can also track important steps within your first 30 days and beyond your first month. We are glad you are here and look forward to your journey at SLU.
Receiving the Offer

- Log into your SLUWorkday Candidate profile (where you applied), and on your candidate home page, you will have the following tasks to complete:
- Accept your offer letter
- Enter your date of birth when prompted.
- Human Resources will initiate your background check.
- You will receive an email from AAIM and follow instructions to complete your background check.
- The Human Resources Associate will reach out to confirm your start date once your background check is cleared.
- Receive “Welcome to Saint Louis University: Onboarding Details” email; follow detailed instructions, including completion of Workday action steps.
- Prior to your in person I-9 appointment please complete part 1 of your I-9 which is embedded in Workday action steps.
On or Before Your First Day

- Soon after completing the Workday Onboarding action steps, you will receive a follow-up email from hr@slu.edu to schedule your I-9 appointment. This in-person I-9 verification appointment should be scheduled for the morning of or prior to your first day. *If you do not receive the I-9 scheduling email from hr@slu.edu, please contact your Recruiter before your start date*
- Bring acceptable I-9 documentation.
- If you are not a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident, or otherwise unable to meet Form I-9 requirements, contact SLU Office of International Services to obtain the appropriate authorization to work, which will assist in determining if you have the appropriate Visa/Authorizations to work in the US.
- Complete Section 2, I-9 (In-Person at the HR front Desk) you will be provided with a New Hire Confirmation Receipt.
- Bring New Hire Confirmation Receipt to Parking and Card Services (Badging) to obtain your employee ID badge.
- The HR Front Desk (I-9) and Parking/Card Services are located at the Wool Center, 3545 Lindell Blvd 63103.
- Enroll in or waive employee benefits through Workday.
- If you wish to participate in the Wellness Discount, complete Quest biometric screening.
- You are auto enrolled at 2% in the 403B five – seven days after employment. Visit TIAA.org to make any changes.
- Attend New Hire Orientation.
- Complete New Hire Orientation Survey.
- Complete 7-day Email Onboarding Glint Survey.
- Complete 30-day Email Onboarding Glint Survey.
- Complete 60-day Email Onboarding Glint Survey.
- Complete 90-day Email Onboarding Glint Survey.
