SLU Launches Next-Generation Geospatial Center to Power Innovation in St. Louis and Beyond
Saint Louis University has launched a new center focused on advancing geospatial research, fostering collaboration and developing solutions that benefit communities here at home and around the world. Housed in SLU’s School of Science and Engineering, the Geospatial Center will bring together faculty and students from across the University to address complex societal challenges using GeoAI, quantum sensing technologies, geospatial science and advanced analytics.
SLU's New Venture Accelerator to Hold Demo Day on August 11
The Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship at Saint Louis University is hosting its New Venture Accelerator (NVA) Demo Day on Tuesday, Aug. 11. At the event, the third NVA cohort will make final pitches to potential investors and partners interested in the future growth of the four companies.
Linda Sue Vogt: 1948-2026
Linda Sue Vogt, whose generosity and steadfast support helped expand educational opportunities for Saint Louis University students, died June 14 at her home in Sunset Hills. She was 78.

Saint Louis University's quad will become center stage Sept. 1 as the St. Louis Shakespeare Festival TourCo makes its campus debut with a free outdoor performance of Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Rebekah Scallet.
Shacham Named to Newest FOCUS St. Louis Leadership Class
Enbal Shacham, Ph.D., professor of Behavioral Science and Health Equity, has been named to the FOCUS St. Louis 51st Leadership St. Louis (LSL) class. Leadership St. Louis is a program for experienced leaders who have demonstrated a deep commitment to improving the St. Louis region, according to FOCUS St. Louis. Shacham was one of 57 people selected to take part in the 2026-27 class.
