Learn More About SLU's Response

Saint Louis University is committed to making sure your student is safe and healthy in body and mind. Approximately 80 trained, licensed public safety officers patrol campus around the clock while 1,300 CCTV cameras are monitored by a state-of-the-art 24/7 communications center.

Your student receives emergency notifications (via text, phone call and email) when there is an incident, including severe weather, that represents an immediate or imminent threat to the campus. For reports of incidents that don’t represent an immediate threat but there is still an ongoing concern, your student will receive a “Timely Warning” via email.

Sign Up to Get Notifications

All students are required to register their cell numbers for emergency notification purposes but your student can enter your phone number in Banner so that you can receive the calls and texts too. You can also subscribe to a parent safety listserv to receive all emails sent by SLU's Department of Public Safety.
