- Celerstine Briggs Johnson, Ed.D.: 1934-2023Celerstine Briggs Johnson, Ed.D., former associate vice provost at Saint Louis University, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2023. She was 89. Johnson worked for Saint University for nearly 30 years. She joined SLU in 1979 and retired in the winter of 2008. Johnson served as Saint Louis University's first Black female associate vice president for enrollment and academic services. She was also a SLU alumna, having earned her Doctor of Education degree from the University.
- SLU Associate Professor of Internal Medicine Named to St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 ListFarzana Hoque, M.D., associate professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine and Acting Internship Co-Director at Saint Louis University, has been named one of St. Louis Business Journal's 40 Under 40. Hoque joined SLU in 2018 as her first job after completing residency training.

The venue, which is the second to serve Greater St. Louis, is located at the intersection of Chouteau Avenue and Compton Avenue, south of I-64.
- Thomas C. Westfall, Ph.D.: 1937-2023Thomas C. Westfall, Ph.D., chair emeritus of the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at Saint Louis University, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2023. He was 85. Westfall served as chair of the Department of Pharmacology, which later became the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology, for 34 years, from 1979 until 2013.
