SLU to Host National Security Symposium Focused on U.S., China Relationship
ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University will host a national security symposium focused on the United States' strategic relationship with China.
The event will feature top industry experts, government leaders, and researchers. The panels will include technology competition, China's economic landscape, and AI dominance.

The symposium will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Saint Louis University. The event is free and aimed at local students and educators who are interested in China's role in the global landscape.
The event will feature a keynote presentation from Ashley Johnson, FBI Special Agent in Charge of the St. Louis Field Office and will provide an opportunity to explore how various disciplines can be applied to US-China security concerns. Other topics include China's dominance empowered by AI, China's economic landscape and challenges for the U.S./China relationship.
This is the third conference hosted by SLU’s Midwest Intelligence Community Center for Academic Excellence (MW-IC CAE). The inaugural conference in 2023 focused on social media and national security.
MW-IC CAE was formed in 2022 with a grant from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. It is dedicated to preparing students for professional positions in the 18 U.S. intelligence agencies. The Center supports the design and development of intelligence-related STEM curricula and programmatic training opportunities to prepare students for careers in the field of intelligence.
The event will include an Intelligence Community Career Fair, where students will also be able to learn about career pathways in the intelligence community.
The event is sponsored by SLU, the Director of National Intelligence IC CAE Program Office and National Intelligence University.

Career Fair
- When: 3- 5 p.m. on Tuesday Feb. 4.
- Where: SLU's Chaifetz School of Business Atrium
- Details: The event is free and will feature representatives from all U.S. Intelligence community agencies. The career fair is open for students who are U.S. citizens.
